Help Build a Home at Homecoming
Habitat for Humanity
The Moravian College campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold its second annual Homecoming build on Friday, October 23. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., students, service organizations, alumni, and friends will work together to build interior and exterior wall sections for the Habitat for Humanity house. Construction will occur on the lawn next to Memorial Hall.
With the support of U.S.G. funds and our largest supporter, Enterprise, our chapter is able to pay Lehigh Valley Habitat for the building supplies. Lehigh Valley Habitat will provide a site manager to work side-by-side with students.
On Saturday, students will assemble the entire frame to resemble a house. Chapter members will install a front door, then add a wreath—just in time to welcome parade goers as they pass the house. The frame pieces then will be loaded up and delivered to a Habitat for Humanity site in the Lehigh Valley.
Moravian alumni and friends are welcome to participate in the Habitat build; please register for all Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities online.
For more information about the Habitat build, please contact Leni Johnson, Moravian College Coordinator of Community Service at email@example.com.
