Other notable characteristics of the Class of 2015 include:
More than 40 percent ranked in the top fifth of their high school class
Average GPA was a 3.3 utilizing a 4.0 scale
22 percent of the class are members of the National Honor Society
19 percent were athletic team captains in high school
25 percent of the class are first-generation college-bound
Entering freshman completed 192 community service projects
33 percent of the class are expected to choose a major in the natural sciences
“The Class of 2015 is outstanding,” says Erika E. Mondok, interim director of enrollment. “We are thrilled that we once again have surpassed our goals. We had the challenge of selecting our freshman class from the third largest applicant pool in our history. This is an excellent class and we believe it will leave its mark on the Moravian College community.”
After the actual move-in was completed, students and familes enjoyed a concert on South Campus and Convocation in the Central Moravian Church.
