Another book by Dana Dunn? Yes, this has been a banner year for the professor of psychology. First there was his manual for writers and researchers in the social sciences. Now there is Measuring Up: Educational Assessment Challenges and Practices for Psychology, which he co-edited with Chandra M. Mehrotra, professor of psychology at the College of St. Scholastica in Minnesota, and Jane S. Halonen, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of West Florida. The book asks ďAre we doing a good job of educating our students?Ē and provides theoretical and practical methods of useful assessment.

Rita Berk, director of Reeves Library, has discovered that Dunnís previous book, The Practical Researcher: A Student Guide to Conducting Psychological Research, was listed in The Best Books for Academic Libraries (2002).

Teilhard in the 21st Century: The Emerging Spirit of Earth, co-edited by Donald St. John, professor of religion, and Arthur Fabel, longtime editor of the American Teilhard Society newsletter, was awarded first place among works on spirituality (soft-cover) by the Catholic Press Association. The book is a collection of critical essays on Teilhard and the ecological movement.
