NEWS OF 2003

From the Alumni House:

Fei Sun celebrated Chinese New Year with Fang Zhang ’00 at the Harrisburg Chinese Alliance Church. The event included tangerines, red envelopes, and fireworks—all symbols of good luck. Fang had been Fei’s teacher from third through sixth grades.


NEWS OF 2002

From Brienne Wilson:

Lauren Schwetje and Jeff Olimpaito were married on September 21, 2002, and live in Branchville, N.J.

John Kwiatkowski married Christina Anthony on February 7. He has been promoted to plant manager with Unifirst Co., so he and Christine have moved to North Carolina.

Beth Nastasee is to marry Christian Bianco in Bermuda on July 21.

Erin Boyle has moved from Hoboken, N.J., to Manhattan. She and two roommates live right by the Ed Sullivan Theater.

Randy Woolley lives in Bethlehem and works for American Express Financial Advisors in Allentown. After his first year, Randy was ranked No. 1 of 1,200 new advisors in the United States. He also was named to the Gold Team/Advanced Advisor Group, for which only 10 percent of AEFA’s 10,000 advisors qualify.

Sarah Leiby is a 10th-grade world cultures teacher in Wyomissing.

Leslie Siebler works in operations with the NBA Products International division of Majestic Athletic in Bangor. Leslie was a bridesmaid in Erin LaBar Curtolo’s wedding last May when Erin married Phil Curtolo, a DeSales University graduate. Allison Kuntz, Laurie Rentschler, and Melissa Herzog ’04 also were in the wedding party.

Kristie Cupples received a master’s degree in education in school counseling from Wilmington College in Newcastle, Del.

Debbie Noble works with UBS Financial Services in Weehawken, N.J. She has been with its Wealth Management Group for the past year as a production assistant.

Kelly Bradeis is a sixth-grade teacher in Bristol and district president for Alpha Sigma Tau sorority.

Chrissie Mondschein is recruiting director for Lehigh Valley Financial Group/Mass Mutual in Center Valley.

Jaime Conahan has been working for the past year with Bloomberg Financial in Princeton, N.J., as a financial-data analyst.

Jackie Benko just finished her second year of teaching second grade in Bethlehem. She is pursuing a master’s degree in education. In July 2003, she received a romantic marriage proposal and a diamond ring on the beach at Wildwood, N.J., from her boyfriend, Jerry Tumolo, a DeSales University graduate. When they were growing up, their families vacationed a lot at Wildwood, so the place holds many special memories for them, Jackie says.

From the Alumni House:

Andrew Cerco and Melissa Herzog ’04 are to be married June 12.

Katie McKee Moshier and her husband, Tim, have moved to Killeen, Texas. Tim, a lieutenant in the Army, is stationed at Fort Hood, where he’s an Apache helicopter pilot. Katie tells Phyllis Walsh, the College’s community service coordinator, that sometime during his three-year tour at Fort Hood, he expects to be deployed overseas. Meanwhile, Katie works part-time as an English as a Second Language instructor and attends graduate school at Tarleton University. Having enjoyed teaching Spanish while living in Enterprise, Ala., she is interviewing for teaching positions for the fall. Katie also is family support group leader for Tim’s unit. These groups provide activities and programs for families of the unit while they are stationed on post and during overseas deployments.

Colleen Kelly married Kevin Feehely September 6, 2003, in Holland, Pa. They live in Maryland.

Ruth Knowlton married Sean Finnegan on May 31, 2003. They live in Morrow, Ga.


NEWS OF 2000

From the Alumni House:

Nicole Savino teaches history, economics, and sociology at Linden High School, Linden, N.J. She completed her master’s degree in May at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, N.J., and in the fall will begin a doctorate in educational administration.

Kimberly Munnerley lives in Denver and works for UnitedGlobalCom. She became engaged to Robert Freda last November, and they plan to marry in Bethlehem next March.

Leahn Agnew and Jason Karcheski married in December. Their wedding was on Kauai, Hawaii, and they live in Lititz.

Jan Mellon is associate registrar for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Lara Matthew and Derek Weber ’97 married in September 2003. Moravian alumni who attended include Margaret Thomsen, Elva Evans, Julia McGinn-Rodriquez, Kevin and Amanda Range, Matthew Fuentes, Covar and Tara Sears, Ryan Mehl ’96 and his wife, Aubrey Hicks ’95, and Lucia Buckman Ceydeli.

From Jennifer Kastle ’97:

Nate DeBoer and his wife, Gina, welcomed their second daughter January 19. Gretchen Anne was born two days after her sister, Autumn Rose, turned 15 months old.


NEWS OF 1997

Tracy Asper and Bob Wolak welcomed Ryan Christopher on January 11. He surprised everyone by arriving a month early, but Mom, Dad, and baby are doing great.

Congratulations to Laura Sortino and Craig Neiman on their new little girl. Sarah Kathryn was born January 31.

Katrina Blake and Brian McKee ’98 welcomed their second child, Emma Marie, February 24.

I recently saw Adam Grutzmacher, Bob Schneider, and Bill Wekluk in Old City, Philadelphia. Adam has graduated from Widener University Law School and works at a law firm in the city. He said Josh Klein is a lawyer in the city as well.

I saw Greg Webb and his wife, Lynne Grzywacz Webb ’99, over the holidays. They just purchased a new home.

From the Alumni House:

Brian Hunsicker won third place for sports column writing in the annual Virginia Press Association contest and has been named a finalist for explanatory writing in the Associated Press Sports Editors annual writing contest. He is one of only nine sportswriters from Virginia to be a finalist.

Erin O’Donnell has moved to Newtown and now works for Bristol Meyers Squibb. At her new job, she is involved in clinical research in HIV drugs and will recruit and enroll subjects for various studies. Erin also is an R.N. and worked as a nurse for two years at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
