for Alumni Board 2005-2008
At the Alumni Association’s annual meeting on Saturday, May 21, the Association
will present five new members for the 2005-2008 term. First-term nominees are Joe Castellano ’61,
Roy Goshorn ’58, Geoffrey Hood ’00, Jennifer Kastle ’97, Carol Buechner
McMullen ’51, and Caroline Funk Rabold ’69. Candidates for second terms include
Joanne Belletti Molle ’82, James Johnson ’56, and Charles Bartolet ’60.
Joseph Castellano ’61
Joe is vice president and partner of PWD Consulting, Inc. in Budd Lake, N.J. Joe has volunteered
at Homecoming and has chaired the parking volunteers. He participated in the Rocco Calvo
Golf Tournament, and attended his class reunion, alumni weekend, the Alumni Awards ceremony,
and the 2003 Celebration Ball. Joe is a member of the Alumni Weekend Committee and the
Alumni Career Advising Panel, and serves on the Omicron Gamma Omega Alumni Board, and
he has also been an interviewer for the Women’s College Oral History Project.
Roy Goshorn ’58
The 2002 Comenius Alumni Award recipient for his distinguished career in television broadcasting,
Roy remains very connected to the College. Roy has attended many events such as the Celebration
Ball, Alumni Weekends, class reunions, homecomings, and regional alumni events in the
Pittsburgh area. He has been a volunteer and committee member as well. Roy has been the
class fund representative, a Reunion Committee member, and a volunteer at Homecoming.
Roy was also a member of the alumni committee which was instrumental in the re-colonization
of Omicron Gamma Omega.
Geoffrey Hood ’00
Geoff graduated from Villanova Law School in 2003 and is now an attorney in the Montgomery
County District Attorney’s Office in Norristown, Pa. As a student at Moravian,
Geoff was involved in baseball, golf, United Student Government, the Pre-Law Club, Sigma
Phi Epsilon, the residence hall program, and Twenty-Six Points. As an alumnus, Geoff
has attended Houndfest and the Rocco Calvo golf tournament each year in addition to young
alumni social events. Geoff is also on the Chapter Council for Sigma Phi Epsilon at Moravian.
Jennifer Kastle ’97
Since her graduation, Jennifer has remained connected to her alma mater as a very active
young alumna. A member of the Young Alumni Board from 1999-2002, Jennifer served as the
Social Committee chair from 2000 to 2002. She is also the founder of the Philadelphia
Young Alumni Group and since 1998 has served as her class correspondent. Her other activities
include serving as a Family Day panel speaker and attending numerous other college and
alumni events. In 1999 Jennifer received the Alumni Association’s Emerging Leader
award. Now a corporate giving officer with Commerce Bank, Jennifer is also involved with
the Young Friends of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center of Philadelphia and
is on the development committee of the Police Athletic League.
Carol Buechner McMullen ’51
A class correspondent since 1997, Carol attended her class reunions and served on the reunion
planning committees. She also served as class agent. In addition, Carol has attended
Founder’s Day numerous times and has been an interviewer for the Women’s
College Oral History Project. While keeping active as a Moravian alumna, Carol also taught
English as a second language and was an officer and president of the PTA.
is a circulation clerk at Eastern Monroe County Public Library in Stroudsburg, Pa.
As a student, Caroline was president of the sorority Phi Mu Epsilon, and a member of
Phi Sigma Tau and Lambda Iota Tau. Serving as class correspondent since 2000, Caroline
enjoys reaching out to her fellow classmates and keeping them connected to the College.
She also served on the committee for her 25th reunion and chaired her class’s
35th reunion committee. Caroline has volunteered to write alumni profiles for the magazine,
and meets regularly with classmates who lived on South Campus.
