The Moravian Theological Seminary will hold a panel presentation
to discuss the status of the bill before the Pennsylvania legislature
concerning state licensure for professional counselors. Panelists will
explain the process of becoming certified by the National Board of Certified
Counselors (N.B.C.C.), or with the American Association of Marriage
and Family Therapists (A.A.M.F.T.), and will share how certification
in these organizations affects eligibility for professional licensing
in Pennsylvania.
The panel discussion, Certification and Licensure Issues
for Pastoral Counselors, will be held on Friday, October 2, from 12:15–1:30
p.m., at the Bahnson Center, 60 W. Locust Street, Bethlehem. Registration
cost is $20
Presenters include Joan Doherty, M.A.P.C., Clinical Member
of A.A.M.F.T.; Patience Stevenson, M.A.P.C., Clinical Member of A.A.M.F.T.;
and Louise Young, M.A.P.C., National Certified Counselor.
