News Release
September 1998
Parents, siblings, other family members, and friends of
Moravian College students will get a chance to experience campus life
Saturday, September 26, during the college’s annual Family Day.
The day’s events begin with a morning "coffee
session" where students and their families can chat with college
administrators. Moravian College president Dr. Ervin Rokke will address
the gathering.
Following the session, Family Day participants will attend
one of several presentations on campus-related topics, including "Academic
Opportunities Beyond the Classroom," "Twenty Years after Animal
House: the Real Story on Campus" and "Students in Peril: Campus
Support Systems for Emotionally Troubled Individuals."
Following a festive lunch in Johston Hall, students and
families are invited to take guided tours of the Kemerer Museum of Decorative
Arts in Bethlehem’s historic district. Family Day participants
will also be able to take in the action as Moravian’s football,
field hockey, and women’s tennis teams host games on Saturday.
The day’s activities conclude with a Mass in Borhek Chapel and
a Family Night dinner on campus.
