The music of Mozart, Bach and Mendelssohn will fill the
air at Moravian College on Sunday, November 1 at 3:00 p.m. The Music
Department proudly presents the Moravian Chamber Symphony, a faculty
and student showcase concert.
The concert will feature a very talented mix of Moravian
College and Music Institute faculty and college students. Marian Papp
is serving as concertmaster. The 30-person orchestra will perform timeless
classics such as Mozart’s Overture to Don Giovnni, Bach’s
Concerto for Two Violins, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in
A major.
The performance will be held in Peter Hall, Hurd Center
for Music and Art on Moravian’s Church Street campus. Admission
is $5. The concert is co-sponsored by New Street Bridgeworks and WDIY
