Moravian College faculty, staff, and students can immerse
themselves in China without leaving campus by participating in the numerous
events scheduled for the program "Two Weeks on China" from
November 1-15. The program will provide demonstrations, documentaries
and international films, costumes, traveling exhibits, and samplings
of the foods of China.
With the help of the Chinese Consulate’s Education
Office in New York City and Moravian’s three Chinese students,
Ming Gu, Hong Sun and Fang Zhang, the program was organized by the Global
Engagement Group of Moravian College, said Jane Schaffer, group facilitator.
The group is composed of students, faculty, support staff, and administrators
organized for the purpose of strengthening global understanding, education,
and involvement. This global commitment is one of the strategic goals
of the College.
The Global Engagement Group will be working as a resource
for the College’s "Commission on the Future" task force
of the same name.
