Moravian College is organizing a relief effort to help
ease the suffering of those who fell victim to Hurricane Mitch in Honduras.
The Latin American Culture class, the Spanish Club, and the Multicultural
Club have been joined by fraternities and sororities of Moravian College
to organize a drive for food, summer clothing and blankets to be delivered
on behalf of Moravian College to the victims of Hurricane Mitch in Central
America.
The collection will be on Wednesday, November 11, from
10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A collection box will be placed in the Haupert
Union Building (HUB) across the HUB Help Desk. Moravian College faculty
member Mildred Rivera-Martinez initiated the effort after receiving
a letter from a friend involved in the relief effort that described
the horrific situation in Honduras.

of summer clothing, children’s clothing, blankets, towels, bed
sheets and canned food. Those wishing to give cash donations are being
directed to the Moravian Church's relief efforts. Donations can be sent
