Moravian College will play host to the Association of
College Unions International - Regional College Bowl Tournament on Friday,
February 19, and Saturday, February 20, in the Haupert Union Building
on Moravian’s Main Street Campus. The "College Bowl"
is a highly competitive scholastic competition that pits the best and
the brightest from each participating school against their contemporaries
at other colleges and universities.
The following eleven schools are participating in the
competition: Bucknell University, Duquesne University, Georgetown University,
Johns Hopkins University, Lafayette College, Moravian College, University
of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh-Bradford, Susquehanna University,
The George Washington University, and the Washington and Jefferson College.
The competition begins on Friday, 6:30 p.m. in Snyder,
UBC, Amrhein, and Recreation rooms in the Haupert Union Building. The
games resume Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and the championship game will
be played at approximately 3:30 p.m. in Prosser Auditorium. The winning
team will go on to compete in a national competition in Florida during
May.
Team captain Greg Tanis ‘01, along with team members
Ken Usuki ‘99, Will Schwab ‘99, and Colleen Walsh, ‘00,
will represent Moravian College.
