Parents,
siblings, other family members, and friends of Moravian College students
will get a chance to experience campus life Saturday, September 25,
during the college’s annual Family Day, a fall celebration at
Moravian.
The day’s events begin with a morning "coffee
session" where students and their families can chat with college
administrators. Moravian College vice president for academic affairs
and dean of the faculty, Dr. Randall Packer will formally welcome and
address the gathering. Following the session, Family Day participants
will attend one of several presentations on campus-related topics, including
"Academic Opportunities Beyond the Classroom," "From
a Distance: How to Support Your Student's Life and Career Planning"
and "Back to the Future: A Look Inside the Classroom."
Following a festive lunch in Johnston Hall featuring international
faire and the sounds of the Royal Palm Steel Drum Band. After lunch,
students and families are invited in the action as Moravian’s
football team takes on Lebanon Valley College and the women’s
tennis team hosts Juniata College. The day’s activities conclude
with a Mass in Borhek Chapel and a Family Night dinner in the HUB Pavilion
featuring "Come to the Cabaret." For registration information
