Improving the quality of supervisory instruction is the
focus of a new program in the Institute for Professional Development
at Moravian College. The College is partnering with RCC Associates and
Dick Cipoletti to deliver an educationally sound supervisory program
to area businesses. The program will included instruction in individual
assessment, an individual development plan for each participating company,
a comprehensive curriculum, and private coaching between sessions. Training
in problem solving and leadership building is conducted over a ten-month
period on the Moravian College campus, beginning January 18, 2000, and
continuing every third Tuesday morning for the following nine months.
Participants will be drawn from a variety of business environments to
provide a heady mix of insights and problems-solving strategies.
Key topics include role requirements for supervisors,
strategies for enhancing productivity and communication, motivational
techniques, team-building and coaching, decision-making, discipline
and reward systems, and managing change. During the ten-month period
each participant will have four private coaching sessions with Dick
Cipoletti to monitor progress.
Leading the sessions will be Dick Cipoletti, president
of RCC Associates, a regional consulting firm. Dick brings a wealth
of experience as practitioner and trainer both locally and nationally.
Moravian College’s Division of Continuing Studies has a long-standing
reputation for supplying educationally sound programs to working adults
in the Lehigh Valley.
