On behalf of the entire Moravian College community, welcome
to our campus. We are particularly pleased and honored to play a role,
however small, in your efforts to develop a more supportive and caring
environment for our local children. I would like to commend the Children’s
Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, our elected representatives, and others
in attendance today for their clear focus and cooperation on issues
that are so critical to the ultimate success of our children: education,
health, justice, and family support.
Without question, the future of institutions such as Moravian
College – indeed, the future of our entire region – depends
on the vitality, growth, and achievement of our children. Forums such
as the Stand for Children 2000 Legislators Day will help make that future
as promising and bright as possible. Thank you for your care, your collaboration,
and your commitment.
Sincerely,
Ervin J. Rokke
