Moravian College’s Continuing and Graduate Studies
division will offer a ten-week/two-credit course designed to prepare
students to become Adult Literacy tutors. Student Literacy Corps will
explore the topics of adult education, service learning, tutoring, second-language
learners, instructional methods, and community service. Once trained,
the tutors will serve forty hours in Adult Literacy classes or with
individual adult learners at Northampton Community College’s Bethlehem
Center in Historic Bethlehem.
Student Literacy Corps will meet once a week on Tuesday
evenings from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Classes start on September 26 and continue
