(Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania)— Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary
recently named Timothy S. Bilger as director of major gifts. Bilger
will work in the Office of Institutional Advancement, which serves both
the College and the Seminary.
Bilger served as director of development and community
relations at the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania. With over
fifteen years of experience in the banking, small business and non-profit
sectors, he has conducted major and planned gift campaigns; relationship
and client account management; community and media relations; and small
business planning.
His responsibilities at Moravian are planning and soliciting
gifts for both the College and Seminary. He will be working with a variety
of constituents, as he oversees the identification, cultivation, and
solicitation of individual and corporate donors.
A graduate of Susquehanna University, Bilger is involved
in a variety of community organizations. He is a trustee with Lehigh
Valley Coalition for Kids. He is a member of the Bethlehem Area Chamber
of Commerce-Small Business Council, the Good Shepherd Business and Industry
committee, and the National Society of Fundraising Executives. He has
worked on capital campaigns for a number of Lehigh Valley organizations
including The Discovery Center for Science & Technology, Camelot
House, Valley Youth House, American Lung Association of Pennsylvania,
and The United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Small Business
Big Hearts Campaign.
