November 2000
(Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania) --The Moravian College Choir, conducted by Paula Ring
Zerkle, will hold a special preview concert featuring the music that
will be performed during this year’s Christmas Vespers services.
The preview concert will be held on Sunday, November 19, 8:00 p.m.,
in Foy Concert Hall on Moravian’s Church Street Campus in Historic
Bethlehem.
The concert will include works by Byrd Vivaldi, Haydn,
and McCartney, and will feature the Moravian College Choir, Women's
Chorus, Brass Ensemble, Wind Trio, and Flute Ensembles. The performance
will follow closely the musical itinerary of the College’s Vespers
services that will be held in December at Central Moravian Church. Admission
to the Moravian College Vespers Services is limited to invited members
of the campus community.
"This preview concert provides an opportunity for
the public to come and hear the beautiful music of our Christmas Vesper
services," said choir conductor, Paul Ring Zerkle. "The Vespers
preview concert is an excellent forum to showcase our very talented
choral students and at the same time provide an opportunity for members
of the public to share in this wonderful music."
Admission is open to the pubic. A recommended donation
of $5 will be accepted at the door. For further information call 610-861-1650.
