(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) – Moravian College is
hosting the Children’s Coalition of the Lehigh Valley’s
budget briefing on Wednesday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m., in Prosser
Auditorium – Haupert Union Building. The briefing will explore
the assessed impact of Governor Ridge’s budget and how it will
affect children and families in Pennsylvania.
James Martin, Deputy Director of Operations for the Pennsylvania
Partnerships for Children, will discuss Governor Ridge’s plans
and how they will influence education, child care, child abuse, health
care, support for at-risk families, mental health/mental retardation,
and other family-related issues. There will also be a question-and-answer
time.
The budget briefing is sponsored by the Children’s
Coalition of the Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Children’s
Advocacy Network. The event is open and there are no registration fees.
Prosser Auditorium is located in the Haupert Union Building at Locust
and Monocacy streets in Bethlehem.
Moravian College is a private, coeducational, selective
