News Release
March 2001
(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) -- Continuing and Graduate studies
at Moravian College will hold a lecture titled, "Is Now the Time
to Seek Professional Investment Advice?," on Tuesday, April 10,
at 7:00 p.m., in Collier Hall of Science. Richard Brown, investment
broker with Robinson and Robinson of Allentown, , will discuss how to
assess the cost of working with an advisor in the context of a severely
depressed stock market. He will outline the various forms of compensation
– hourly, fee-based, percentage, and commission-based programs.
He will also explain how mutual funds are costed to the investor. With
this information, the investor can better decide whether there is a
benefit that outweighs the expense.
The lecture will be held in the Collier Hall of Science,
Room 204, on the Moravian College campus, 1200 Main Street, in Bethlehem.
Brown will field questions during and after the presentation.
The public is invited and admission is free. For registration
