(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) – The Moravian College
German Club will sponsor a lecture by Professor Neil Orkin titled "Kafka,
Prague, and Seinfeld (Jerry)," on Monday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m.
in the UBC Room in the Haupert Union Building. The lecture is free and
open to the public.
Orkin will present an autobiographical video tour of Prague
narrated by Kafka himself. A brief discussion of the author's life and
a comparison of Kafkan and "Seinfeldian" humor will follow.
Neil Orkin is an Associate Professor of Legal Studies
at Drexel University where he teaches courses in Labor and Contracts.
In addition to his teaching, Orkin conducts labor arbitrations for various
unions and employers. A member of the Kafka Societies of Prague and
America, he remains a frequent visitor to the Czech Republic where he
will soon lecture on reforming Czech law.
Moravian College is a private, coeducational, selective
liberal arts college located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Tracing its
founding to 1742, it is recognized as America's sixth-oldest college.
