(Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania) – Moravian College’s International Club will
hold its Annual International Dinner on Saturday March 24. The theme
of this years dinner is ‘Hand in hand, Together we stand.’
The dinner will include a talent show and a fashion show highlighting
the culture of the more than 20 countries represented by Moravian’s
international students. The entertainment will be followed by dinner
featuring cuisine from around the world. A dance party featuring International
music will follow the dinner.
The International Club is one of the most active clubs
on campus and was a recipient of the ODK award for the "Organization
of the Year" last year. The International Club promotes global
understanding and friendships and presents a variety of cultural programs
and activities to the campus community. The club has more than 95 members
and all students are welcome to join. In addition to the International
Dinner, the Club organizes many other events such as Nepalese New Year
Celebration (9th April, 2001) and Last Day picnic (4th May, 2001). The
club is advised by Cas Sowa, Director of International Studies. The
president of the club is Bindesh Shrestha, Class of 2003, who hails
from Nepal.
