News Release
May 2001
(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)- Moravian College’s Division
of Continuing and Graduate Studies will hold a lecture titled, "Next
Generation Accountant: From Statistician to Strategist," on June
7, 6:00 p.m., Dana Lecture Hall, Collier Hall of Science. Peter Chimera,
Branch Manager for Accountemps, will provide a look into the trends
affecting the future of the accounting profession.
The field of accounting is experiencing sweeping changes
as it transforms into a "knowledge services" profession. The
next generation of accountants will be visionary strategists with advanced
technical abilities; they will have to know not just debits and credits,
but also bits, bytes and the intricacies of e-commerce. These are some
of the findings of Robert Half International’s Next Generation
Accounting campaign, the result of comprehensive research in collaboration
with professional associations and experts in accounting and finance.
Robert Half International, the parent company of Accountemps,
is listed on the national registry of CPE sponsors, maintained by the
National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). Moravian
College, Division of Continuing and Graduate Studies and Accountemps
are providing this lecture free of charge. This presentation carries
CPE credit.
