(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)— The Moravian College
Music Institute will join the Mexican Cultural Center of Philadelphia
in celebrating Mexican Independence Day with the fifth annual festival
at Moravian College on Saturday, September 15, noon to 4:00 p.m. The
musical festival will feature a variety of performances showcasing regional
Mexican dances, music and song.
The celebration will include performances by Ballet Folklorico
de Campeche, Soledad Flores, Grupo Rey-Mex, and Mariachi Flores. Invited
guests include the Honorable Jacob Prado, Acting Counsul of the Mexican
Consulate, Philadelphia, and the Honorable Don Cunningham, Mayor of
the City of Bethlehem.
The festival is free and open to the public. Foy Hall
is located at the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus, Church and Main Street,
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. For more information, contact the Moravian
