(Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania) - Parents, siblings, other family members, and friends
of Moravian College students will get the opportunity to spend time
with loved ones and experience campus life on Saturday, September 29,
during the college's annual Family Day, a fall celebration at Moravian.
The day's events begin with a morning "coffee session"
where students and families can chat with college administrators. Moravian
College student life administrators and members of the Parents' Council
will be on hand. Following the session and a welcome by Moravian College
president, Dr. Ervin J. Rokke, Family Day participants may choose one
of three sessions to attend. Topics including "Jeopardy! The LinC
Edition," "Moravian College on the Move," and "Finding
Your Spirit, Nourishing Your Soul." Families are invited to watch
the women's soccer team host Messiah at 11 a.m. The will be a pre-lunch
reception with faculty and administrators.
A festive lunch will be held at Johnston Hall featuring
down-home cooking from the four corners of America. Thereafter, students
and families are invited to take in the action as Moravian's football
team takes on Lebanon Valley at 1 p.m. The men's soccer team will also
host Messiah at 1:30 p.m.
The day's activities conclude with a Mass in Borhek Chapel
and a reception in the Snyder room for multicultural students and families
at 5 p.m. A dinner buffet will be served at 6 p.m. in the HUB dining
room with a relaxing atmosphere to wind down the day.
