(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) - The Mother Goose Jazz Band
will perform at Moravian College on Sunday, October 14, at 4 p.m., in
Foy Concert Hall. This entertaining, upbeat and educational jazz children's
program is a family show for all ages.
The Mother Goose Jazz Band blends traditional children's
verses with contemporary styles to create music that will appeal to
listeners both young and old. Featured performers are a children's chorus,
an adult jazz rhythm section, horns and vocal soloists. Old time favorites
such as Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Little Boy Blue, Mary Had a Little
Lamb, and many others is a great introduction to jazz.
Producer Josh Greenberg has done creative jazz arrangements
of everything from This Little Piggy to Old MacDonald to offer a strikingly
original approach that delightfully introduces young children to jazz.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, senior
citizens, and children 12 and under. Foy Concert Hall is located on
the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus at Church and Main Streets in Historic
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The concert is sponsored by the Moravian College
