(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)- Moravian College will play
host the 2nd Annual Educational Forum on Sunday, January 20, at 6:30
p.m. in the Haupert Union Building (Pavilion). The event is sponsored
by Kappa Delta Pi Education Honors' Society (Moravian College). The
program will consist of a panel discussion in which questions will be
asked to the entire panel and all will have an opportunity to share
their opinions.
It is more of an informal discussion of issues that will
hopefully enlighten audience members about some of the most pressing
and controversial issues in education today.
Some of the issues that will be covered include the impact
of new standards on the classroom, block scheduling, inclusion, and
benefits of administrative roles.
The members of the panel include: Anthony Villani, principal,
Freedom High School; Art Feinberg, English adjunct/school psychologist,
Liberty High School; Daniel Tannous, teacher Dieruff High School; Wayne
Marish, teacher, Freedom High School; Peter Mayes teacher, James Buchanan
Elementary School; Janet Solley, teacher, Southern Lehigh Middle School;
Jodi Guro, teacher, Wilson Area High School; and Judy Segan, teacher,
Asa Packer Elementary School.
The International by Kappa Delta Pi membership recognizes
overall academic excellence in education certification students. Local
members strive to maintain a high degree of collegiality and mentoring
in elementary and secondary education programs.
