News Release
January 2002
(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) -Comedian Russ Meneve will return
to Moravian for an encore performance in Foy Concert Hall on Friday,
January 25, 8:00 p.m.. Meneve had Moravian students laughing off their
seats when he opened for SNL's Darrell Hammond last fall in Johnston
Hall. The public is welcome and admission is free. Foy Hall is located
on the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus at Church and Main streets in Historic
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Meneve is an up and coming comic combining observational
humor with personal experience from his childhood to his life as a single
guy living in New York. Russ grew up in New Jersey, where his first
experience as a stand up comedian came in a high school talent show.
His family was the target of his material, which sat in the audience
that night in agony as he discussed their insanity.
Meneve appears every night in New York City at top venues
such as the Comedy Cellar, Caroline's, Stand Up New York, and the Boston
Comedy Club. Russ has appeared in on Saturday Night Live and the Conan
O'Brien Show, as well as a featured comedian on ABC and Comedy Central's
Premium Blend.
