(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) - The Moravian MBA's Summer
Institute will offer a study abroad experience in Milan, Italy from
Saturday, May 18 to Wednesday, May 29, 2002. The trip includes a graduate
course in Developing Transnational Managers at SDA Bocconi, the business
school of Bocconi University in Milan.
The course will discuss how culture, tradition, challenges
of globalization, core competencies, and politics impact business in
Italy and the European Union. Presentations from U.S. expatriate managers
with experience in the European Union, interactive discussions and exercises
led by skilled group facilitators, and exciting company visits to connect
theory with practice will be the focus of this exploration into the
business of Italy and the European Union.
Moravian MBA students will have the opportunities to earn
3 graduate credits as an elective, study at one of the "Top Five"
business schools in the European Union, advance the anticipated international
manager assignment, access international networking, and experience
"hands-on" business in Europe.
The trip is open to all Lehigh Valley employees and graduate
business students. Tuition is $4,000 and includes the course, airfare,
hotels, company visits, and many meals. Deadline for registration is
