(Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania) - Opera star Denyce Graves will perform in concert on
Wednesday, March 20 at 8:00 p.m. at Moravian College in Foy Concert
Hall. Graves will also conduct a master class for Moravian College students
on Thursday, March 21, at 11:30 a.m. In addition to the concert and
master class, a celebration party will be held in Peter Hall after the
concert.
At the celebration, invited guests will meet Miss Graves
and enjoy the beauty of Moravian's Peter Hall. Light refreshments, champagne,
and coffee will be served. Flowers will be provided by ELYSIAN FIELDS
Specialty Florals.
Pamela P. Rokke is serving as the honorary chair of the
Denyce Graves celebration committee. Members include Barbara Brautigam
Caldwell '65, Susan S. Haering, Carol J. Salgado, Carol Dean Henn '68,
Virginia B. Squair, Alice S. Mosebach, Jean T. Pratt, and Judith Fretz
Thomas '58.
The celebration will be attended by members of the Moravian
College Music Alliance, alumni and friends of the college. Among those
attending will be Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Anderson, Dr. and Mrs. Jay
H. Apfelbaum, Joan Miller Moran and W. J. Fenza, Llyena Boylan, Wes
and Sue Davis, Herm and Claire Rij, Susan and Robert Gadomski, Ken and
Barbara Smith, and Priscilla and Peter Wolle. In addition, Nora Cheatham,
Oscar Cruz, Rebecca Dishon, and Evelyn Stewart, the Moravian music majors
who will participate in the master class will attend.
The post-concert celebration party is open to invited
guests only. The concert is part of Moravian College Music Alliance's
Great Artists Series, which raises scholarship funds for music students
at Moravian.
