(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) - Moravian College's Student
Athlete Mentoring (SAM) organization will be holding a wheelchair basketball
event versus the FreeWheelers on Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in
Moravian's Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC).
Ten to fifteen teams will be formed to compete against
the FreeWheelers in this fundraising event. Each team may select 5 to
10 players and will pay a $25.00 entry fee as a donation. All proceeds
of this event will be used to sponsor a disabled athlete at the National
Sports Center for the Disabled.
The goal of this fundraiser is to raise at least $1000.
The team that raises the most money will receive a prize, and other
prizes will be raffled off during the event.
The games open to the public. Admission is free of charge,
but any donations are welcome. For additional information contact Bob
