(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) — Moravian College will
host a “Candidate Conversation,” featuring several local
political candidates on Wednesday, September 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. The
event is sponsored by the Children's Coalition of the Lehigh Valley
in association with Focus Five for Kids, the nonpartisan state wide
campaign to infuse this year's election with a greater concern for issues
impacting children and their families, and the Pennsylvania Partnerships
for Children. It is open to the public and admission is free.
The purpose of this event is to seek a commitment from
area candidates for the state legislature focusing on Pennsylvania's
children. The candidates will discuss their vision for improving health,
education, and home-life for children.
Participating in the event will be the candidates for
16th State Senatorial District, Charles Dent and Richard Orloski; the
18th State Senatorial District - Lisa Boscola and Nick Sabatine; the
131st State Legislative District - Pat Browne and Peter Schweyer; and
133rd State legislative District - T.J. Rooney and Howard Forman.
Prosser Auditorium is located in the Hauper Union Building
(W. Locust & Monocacy streets) on Moravian’s Main Street Campus.
