(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) - Moravian College’s Continuing and Graduate Studies division will offer a course, “International Human Resource Issue,” on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., from October 23 through December 11.

The course will introduce participants to issues related to managing people and human resource processes in geocentric companies. Topics will include expatriation and impatriation, compensation and benefit equity, codes of ethics within multinational firms, communication channels such as intranets and internets, language needs relative to production and communication, management training for supervisory personnel within an international context, and personnel management issues related to work settings, schedules, and vacation.

Participants will meet in seminar format using problem-centered issues that require them to apply knowledge for resolution. HR professionals or prospective HR employees who have an interest in working abroad or in serving within a company that has a multi-national structure may profit from an examination of these issues.
