(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)— Moravian College
will host two Fall Open Houses for prospective students and their
parents on Saturday,
October 4 and Saturday, October 18.
The Open Houses will include tours of the College, information sessions
on fields of study at Moravian, a seminar on financial aid, and a question-and-answer
session by current Moravian students.
The day begins at 9 a.m. with registration in Johnston Hall on the
Main Street Campus. Staff, students, and coaches will be in attendance
to answer questions, as visiting families are provided with coffee,
tea, and a light breakfast.
Visitors will be welcomed with a presentation by college president,
Dr. Ervin J. Rokke, and vice president for enrollment, Bernard J. Story,
at 9:30 a.m. in Johnston Hall.
“Twenty-Six Points” Student Ambassadors
will take visitors on guided walking tours of the Main Street Campus
from 10:00 a.m. to
11:00 a.m. Students will visit the dining halls, computer labs, athletic
facilities, residence halls, and more.
Tours will be followed by academic information sessions from 11:00
a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Prospective students will be presented with information
on various academic majors and other special academic programs. Professors
and their students will be give short presentations as well as answering
questions and distributing materials. A concurrent session will be
held in Prosser Auditorium where Financial Aid and Admissions staff
will address individual concerns of prospective parents and students.
Student Panels will be held from 12:15 – 12:45
p.m. in the Pricilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex. Parents and students
will be able to discuss
their concerns and get their questions answered by current Moravian
College students. A parents-only panel will be held in Pricilla Payne
Hurd, Room 101. A students-only panel will be held in Pricilla Payne
Hurd, Room 102.
JAn Admissions Office Open House will also be held from 12:15 p.m.
to 2:00 p.m. in both Colonial Hall and the lobby of the Pricilla Payne
Hurd Campus. A light lunch will be served at both locations.
