(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)— The Moravian College Music Institute
will host a faculty recital on Sunday, October 26 at 4 p.m. at Peace-Tohickon
Lutheran Church, Route 313 and Branch Road in Perkasie, Pa. Organist
Lou Carol Fix (artist-lecturer in music at Moravian) will be joined
by the musicians of Peace Lutheran Church in performing special Halloween
musical treats as well as Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor,
Hindemith’s Sonata III, Handel’s Joshua-“See the
Raging Flame Arise,” Saint Saens’ Danse Macabre, Wagner’s
The Flying Dutchman – “Die Frist ist um,” Sowerby’s
Carillon, and Widor’s Symphony VI in G Minor – “Allegro.” Ed
Bara will be featured on baritone and William F. Heefner will be a
guest organist. A reception will follow the performance. For directions

(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)— Seniors Jessica
Setley (Mohnton, Pa.), violin, and Laura Strattan (Jonestown, Pa.),
bass clarinet, will
perform a joint recital on Friday, October 31 at 8 p.m. in Peter Hall
on the Priscilla Payne Hurd campus. Admission is free and open to the
public. Setley and Strattan will present works by Vaughan Williams,
Mozart, Bach, Wieniawski, and Gabriel. The featured selection will
be Suite pur violin, clarinette, et piano, Op 157b by Darium Milhaud.
Piano accompanists will include professor Barbara Liebhaber, and seniors
Caress Prince (Oak Forest, Ill.), and Crystal Reinert (Coplay, Pa.).

(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)— On Tuesday, November 4, the Moravian
College Department of Music and the Moravian College Music Alliance
will co-host drummer Mark Seaman and “Livin’ in the Rhythm,” a
drumming workshop featuring dynamic and interactive rhythm based programs
for people of all ages. Seaman will conduct two workshop sessions in
Foy Concert Hall. The first session will be held from 10:20-11:10 a.m.
and the second session will be 12:50-2:00 p.m. Both sessions are free
