(Bethlehem, Pa.)—Three feature video presentations
produced by two Moravian College art students and a faculty member
have been
chosen for screening during the first annual SouthSide Film Festival
2004: The Prequel. The festival runs from Thursday, June 17 through
Sunday, June 20.

Ashley Garrett ’06
(Bangor, Pa.), and Joshua Schray ’04, (Catasaqua, Pa.) and Dr.
Krista Steinke, assistant professor of art, will be presented at various
times throughout the four-day film festival.
Garrett produced a three-minute video titled, “ny | dream,” which
will be featured on Saturday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, June
20 at 12 noon in the Whitaker Lab Auditorium at Lehigh University.
Schray’s eight-minute video, “Graffiti: An Urban Art” will
be playing twice on Saturday, June 19 at 3:30 p.m. at the Whitaker
Lab Auditorium and again at 5:20 p.m. at Touchstone Theatre. Steinke’s
piece, titled “American Car Wash,” is a three-minute video
which will be screened Saturday, June 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the Whitaker
Lab Auditorium.
All of the videos will be screened during the “Night of Short
Films” on Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m. at the Goosey Gander II
in South Bethlehem. Admission is free of charge.
The SouthSide Film Festival was established earlier this year to promote
and celebrate the efforts of independent filmmakers of South Bethlehem
