(Bethlehem, Pa.)— The Northampton Medical
Society Alliance recently awarded three scholarships to two Moravian
College nursing students and one recent graduate going on to medical
school.
Julia R. DeFranco of Bangor and Kristin A. Reiss
of Bethlehem each received a $1,000 scholarship. They are both nursing
students at St. Luke’s School of Nursing at Moravian College.
Mary Katherine Story, of Hanover Township, received a $1,000 scholarship.
She graduated from Moravian College in May and will attend Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine this fall.
The Northampton County Medical Alliance is a nonprofit organization
concerned with addressing the health needs of the community. The scholarships
are based on academic record, community service, and financial need.
