Best-Selling Author Rick Shenkman to speak at Moravian

“Seven Habits of Highly Effective Voters” to focus on political candidates

Bethlehem, Pa.—Moravian College will hold a special lecture for students by Richard Shenkman, “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Voters,” on Thursday, September 30 at 8 p.m., in Prosser Auditorium of the Haupert Union Building. Shenkman, a New York Times best-selling author, will discuss ways to critically analyze political candidates. The lecture is not open to the public.

Shenkman has written on topics from American myths to international politics. His books include Legends, Lies and Myths of American History and Presidential Ambition: How the Presidents Gained Power, Kept Power, and Got Things Done. He appear has appeared on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC while touring the country giving lectures at colleges.

Shenkman was educated at Vassar and Harvard. He is best known as an award-winning investigative reporter and a presidential historian. He is the former managing editor or KIRO-TV, a CBS affiliate in Seattle, and produced a prime-time television series for The Learning Channel spurred by his various book topics about myths.
