Bethlehem, Pa., September 8, 2005— Moravian College will host two
fall open houses for prospective students and their parents during October. The first
will be held on Saturday, October 1, and the second on Saturday, October 15. Both will
begin with registration from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. in Johnston Hall. Visiting families
will be provided with coffee, tea, and a light breakfast.
Visitors will be welcomed with
a presentation by college president, Dr. Ervin J. Rokke, and vice-president for enrollment,
Bernard J. Story, at 9:30 a.m. in Johnston Hall.
The day’s activities include
guided walking tours of the Main Street Campus by “Twenty-Six
Points” student ambassadors. Students will visit the dining halls, computer labs,
athletic facilities, residence halls, bookstore, and the college grounds.
Tours will be
followed by an academic session from 11:00 –11:45 a.m. in the Priscilla
Payne Hurd Academic Complex and a financial aid session in Prosser Auditorium, Haupert
Union Building. The academic session will provide information on various academic majors
and other special academic programs provided by the College. Professors and students
will give short presentations, answer questions, and distribute academic materials. Staff
members from Financial Aid and Admissions will address individual concerns of prospective
parents and students. Both sessions will be repeated at 11:45 a.m.

on various academic majors from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m.
in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex.
The Admissions Office will host prospective
students from 12:15 – 2:00 p.m. to
answers questions and provide information for visitors.
During 12:15 – 2:00 p.m.
tours of the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus (Church Street Campus) will leave from the shuttle
stop in front of the Haupert Union Building. Light lunch is available at the Haupert
Union Building Pavilion.
