Bethlehem, Pa., October 27, 2005—The Moravian College Women’s Chorus will
perform “A Treble Treat” on Sunday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Peter Hall.
The concert will feature 19 arrangements by composers such as Casals, Elgar, Handel,
Patton, Powell, Rheinberger, and Stroope. Peter Hall is located on the Moravian College
Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus, located at the corner of Main and Church Streets in Bethlehem.
All tickets for the evening are $6.
The choir will perform under the direction of Eduardo Azzati and will be accompanied
by Clipper Erickson on the piano. Accompanying performers will be Ashlee Streen on the
flute, Rachael Stapleton on oboe, Inna Eyzerovich and Linda Kistler on violin, and Jennifer
Davenport on alto saxophone.
The performance will highlight individual members of the Moravian
College Women’s
Chorus. Nine soloists will perform also: Alauna Butler '08, Standish, ME , Chelsea Dehner
'08, Hatboro, Pa , Rebecca Dries '07, Emmaus, Pa., Stephanie Frueh '07, North Kingston,
RI , Kaitlyn McEnrue '09, Nazareth, Pa. , Katie Pulizzano '08, Allentown, Pa., Kelly
Schmidt ’06, Allentown, Pa., Lisa Toth ’07, Pottstown, Pa., and Amberly Williams
'07, Allentown, Pa. Dries, Frueh, Schmidt, and Toth will be featured twice during the
program .
The Moravian College Women’s Chorus was created in 1994, and
is a diverse ensemble, drawing its members from students of all majors, Moravian faculty
and staff, and members of the Lehigh Valley community. It consists of 40-50 members,
who are selected by audition s at the beginning of each semester. In addition to the
fall performance, the group is scheduled to sing at the Moravian College Christmas
Vespers, major concerts in February and April, and several other concerts throughout
