Bethlehem, Pa., May 16, 2006—The Moravian College Alumni Association will honor
Claire Klatchak, B.A. ’87, and M.B.A. ’95, with the prestigious Medallion
of Merit award during the Grand Reunion Luncheon on May 20, at 12:45 p.m. in Johnston
Hall. The award is given in recognition of the tireless contributions and stewardship
provided by Klatchak to ensure Moravian’s legacy and vision. Klatchak, a resident
of Coplay, Pa., is currently the nursing division comptroller at Phoebe Services in Allentown.
Klatchak’s dedicated leadership, generous spirit and love of the College serve
as an inspiriting role-model to enhance the College’s mission and goals. The impacts
of her contributions are limitless. She has served in countless capacities, among them,
as a member of the M.B.A. Advisory Board; the Alumni Association; on substantial fund
raising projects; in the recruitment of quality students; accessing needed resources;
as Senior Breakfast Table Host and led various committees to benefit the College.
She has served as the treasurer, secretary and marketing committee
chair of the Alumni Association; and treasurer of Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL), the National
Honor Society for Students in Continuing Higher Education, for the Comenius Center.
She is the charter and founding member of the Moravian M.B.A. Advisory Board and an
active participant of the College’s Commission on the Future.

of the Medallion of Merit award expresses the heartfelt appreciation and respect for
an outstanding member of the Moravian College community,” said Bertie Knisely,
director of alumni relations at Moravian College.
