Bethlehem, Pa. July 17, 2006—Nicole Snyder has been appointed director of career
development at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., where she will be responsible for
directing a comprehensive Career Center. Her duties will include providing counseling
to students and alumni related to their graduate school preparation and career development
needs. Snyder will also be responsible for developing new employment leads for
students as well as maintaining relationships with existing employers. Additionally,
she will coordinate and conduct workshops and seminars on graduate school preparation
and career development.
Snyder comes to Moravian from Princeton University, where she served
in the Career Services Office as the associate director for recruitment and employer
relations. Formerly, she was the associate director of career services at LaSalle University
in Philadelphia, Pa., where she managed the university’s Co-Op (Cooperative Opportunity)
and internship programs.
Her vita in higher education includes positions in the areas of residence life, admissions,
and student activities. She earned both her Master of Education degree in Student Affairs
in Higher Education and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kutztown University
of Pennsylvania.
Snyder succeeds Warren Hilton, former director of career development, who has been promoted
to associate dean of student development.
