Bethlehem, Pa., August 31, 2006—Julie Del Giorno recently joined
Moravian College as executive assistant to incoming president Christopher Thomforde,
who will began his tenure at Moravian earlier this month
Del Giorno previously was employed at East Stroudsburg University where
she served as executive assistant to the president and as interim vice president

experience and administrative expertise, as well as a strong reputation for accessibility

active member of the President’s Council and chief coordinator of its collective
activities. She performed as the principal liaison to the governing Board,
and as the primary proponent of presidential initiatives and actions throughout the university. During
her career, Del Giorno also was employed as a coach, advisor, or administrator
of undergraduate athletic programs at East Stroudsburg University, the University of
Central Arkansas, and the U.S. Military Academy. From 1986 to 1995, she served
as a commissioned officer on active duty in the U.S. Army.
Del Giorno holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military
Academy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. Currently
