Richard Stamets, Jr. was named Head of Underwriting Strategy by Attune.  Richard is responsible for building Attune’s underwriting strategies and managing Attune’s portfolio of insurance offerings.

Ray Pfeiffer, Jr., Ph.D. and Ray Pfeiffer, Sr. ’64 will be receiving the Accounting Club’s Pinnacle Award as a father-son team at the annual accounting banquet on Sunday, April 26.  Ray, Sr. is retired director of the Lehigh Valley Area IRS office.  Ray, Jr. is associate dean of TCU’s business school.

Charlie Mamrak was recently named CEO of SeraCare Life Sciences, bringing his vast experience in the biosciences industry to help the company grow its precision medicine business.  Most recently, Mamrak was CEO of PML Microbiologicals.

Marilyn Rader Wetmore was awarded Liberty High School’s Female Athlete of the year award in 1983, and her daughter has followed in her footsteps.  This year her daughter, Dana Wetmore, was awarded Freedom High School’s Female Athlete of the year.

We are happy to report that Ken Yee and Nicole Yee became parents on October 9, 2010 to a baby boy, Xander Ayden Yee, weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long.

Ken Franiak was recently appointed chief operating officer of Wesley Enhanced Living, a non-profit continuing care retirement community provider throughout Pennsylvania. Ken has been with them for over five years and previously served at their chief financial officer. After receiving his accounting degree, Ken received an MBA in Finance from LaSalle University. He lives in Collegeville, Pa. with his wife and two children.

Ray Pfeiffer ’87 recently accepted a job as Department Chair and Full Professor at the Neeley School of Business at TCU in Fort Worth, TX, and they have been living in Fort Worth since July. A very exciting transition after spending 15 years in New England, and so far everything has been great. Pam is now working at Tarrant County College as a librarian after having completed her Masters of Library and Information Science at Simmons College in June.

Elizabeth Tyler Bugaighis was recently named the Dean of Education and Academic Success at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem. The division was created to accommodate the college’s increase in enrollment. Elizabeth has taught and worked at the college in administrative positions since 2001. She received a master’s degree in public education from Kutztown University and a doctorate from the Pennsylvania Sate University in educational theory and policy.

Mark Wiragh was elected to a first term on the Alumni Board on May 30. Wiragh ’87, of Macungie, PA is a Senior Marketing Manager with Wolters Kluwer Health. Mark has vast experience in the publishing industry.  He worked at Moravian in the Public Relations office for 5 years.  Mark has been involved with and supported Moravian in various ways including the Greyhound Track & Field program, the Lehigh Valley Chapter (Home Club) Antiques Show Committee, the Blue & Grey Club, Hall of Fame Committee, and has attended a number of College and Alumni Association events.

Ray Pfeiffer and his wife, Pam Messerschmidt Pfeiffer, are living in New Canaan, Conn., for a year, while Ray works at the Financial Accounting Standards Board as a research fellow. Pam is getting close to finishing her master’s in library and information science at Simmons College. Ray was promoted to full professor at the University of Massachusetts in September. Their girls are ages 11 and 8.

Nadine Aljian Fatzinger is expecting her first child in early April 2009. She and her husband are very excited about the new addition to their family.
