Trudy Slack Trumbore opened her own women’s clothing shop in West Lawn, Pa.  Frustration with direct sales of women’s apparel inspired Trudy to open Serenity Boutique on August 11, 2018.
Jason Toedter was named the new Muhlenberg College head men’s and women’s tennis coach.  Jason played tennis for Moravian and was named the MAC champion and player of the year in 2004.

The American Health Council is proud to honor Kelly Campbell, BSN, CEN to “Best in Nursing” for her devotion and dedication to aid others in need.  Kelly has been a Registered Nurse in Morristown Medical Center’s Emergency Department for the past 11 years where she works as a Trauma Core Nurse.  She was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician for 17 years.  She has an aptitude for Emergency Medicine, Emergency Preparedness, Trauma, and Disaster Management.  The Emergency Department Nurse of the Year Award was given to Kelly by the Department of Surgery this past year.

Courtney Werner and Brendan Wright were married in Peter Hall on October 3, 2015 and became Mr. and Mrs. Wright-Werner, joining their names to create a new family surname.  On June 29, 2017 they welcomed their first child, a son, Dashiell Ellwood Wright-Werner.  The couple lives in N.J. and visits the Lehigh Valley and Moravian often.

Scott Burke married Jillian Atkinson on April 18, 2015.  David Burke ’14 served as the Best Man.  Kevin McLaughlin ’06, Bryan Kohlbecker ’06, Robert Stockley ’06, Michael Hurden ’06, and Robert Kilmurray ’06 served as Groomsmen.  Scott met Jillian at Moravian Homecoming 2008 and she is the sister-in-law of Kevin McLaughlin (married to Leslie Atkinson McLaughlin).
Courtney Werner has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.  Courtney is excited to be moving back east after spending the past three years as Assistant Professor at Hope College.

David D’Ostilio has been selected to exhibit two augmented reality artworks in the National Juried Exhibition “Digital Magic” at BJ Spoke Gallery in Huntington, N.Y.  The reception was Saturday, August 2.
Amy Frantz ’06 married Scott Gross (son of the late William Gross ’65,) on July 4, 2014.  Rev. Derek French ’95 presided over the service at the Old Chapel of Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem. Kate Strucek Massa ’06 served as matron of honor and Scott Fritchman ’98 was a groomsmen.  Moravian Alumni in attendance included: Jane Kincaid Missimer ‘51, Rev. Jonathan Latiano has been invited back by Maryland Art Place for its 2014 speaker series Young Blood Revisited.  This series brings back former participants in MAP’s Young Blood exhibition program to speak about their art practice post their Masters of Fine Arts degree.  Jonathan received his Masters in Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2012.  Jonathan has exhibited in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington DC, New York City, and London England.  In May of 2013 Jonathan was the recipient of the Mary Sawyers Baker Prize.  Jonathan currently resides and works in Baltimore and teaches at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC.

Courtney Werner has been appointed Hope College’s director of college writing.  Courtney tells us that she is building Hope’s writing program from the ground up.  “It’s taking a lot of time, but it is well worth it!”

Angela Delonti and Kevin Munley were married July 28, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Archbald, PA. The reception was held at Genetti Manor.  Shaza Toumeh Henshaw was a bridesmaid in the wedding party.  Other Moravian attendees were Jessica Sallit and Deanna DiSarro.  After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Peckville, PA.

Michael Trimble is currently working at a dental supply company in Albuquerque, N.M.  He was an outstanding baseball player at Moravian and after graduation became involved with slow-pitch softball.  He is organizing a memorial softball tournament in the Lehigh Valley for Fred Hossler, a man involved with the league, who died in an automobile accident.

Courtney Werner has earned her PhD in Rhetoric, Literacy, and Social Practice.  She walked in graduation and was hooded on August 10, 2012.  She is happy to let everyone know she has been hired as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English in Rhetoric and Composition at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.  The school is very similar to Moravian!  She is now Dr. Werner, Assistant Professor of English in Rhetoric and Composition at Hope College’s English Department!  She writes, “Long live the small liberal arts education!”

Amy Ambler recently became the new children’s librarian at the Free Library of Springfield Township in November. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in July with a Master of Library Science and Information Science degree. Amber finds that the positive impact she is making on children is very rewarding.

Courtney Werner has been published in the Spring 2011 volumes of two electronic writing center journals. In Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, readers can view her piece “Negotiating Authority: Perceptions of Age in the Writing Center,” which is inspired by her work at the Moravian Writing Center. Ryan Walker married Jessica Mantak Walker in July 2011. In 2007, Dawn Parker established the Irish Stars Parker School of Irish Dance in Hellertown with her sister, Jacque. The dancers recently performed at a Philadelphia 76ers game on March 11 and also in the Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 19.

Scott J. Burke recently completed his U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL with honors. The eight week program involved a variety of training including classroom study, instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, as well as shipboard and aircraft safety.
Mojca Branc recently relocated to Brooklyn, NY to begin her new job as a Child and Family Therapist for Park Slope Center for Mental Health’s Clinic Plus Program, which works in conjunction with several public schools in Brooklyn.
Lauren Bahnatka  and Brian Bachner are engaged to be married. The wedding is set for July 2010 in Exton, PA.
Shannon Gardner married Steven Bakros on August 1st, 2009. The ceremony took place at Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Stewartsville, NJ, and the reception was held at Holy Family Club in Nazareth, Pa. The bridal party included Christina Difilippantonio-Jolley as a bridesmaid. In attendance were alumnae Tiffany Schenk and Jennifer Grier ’07.

Shannon Gardner and Steven Bakros are happy to announce their engagement. The wedding ceremony will take place August 1 in Greenwich Township, N.J. Shannon is a seventh grade science teacher for the Easton Area School District.

Alison Kurowski and Matt Olszewski were married December 7, 2007 in Feasterville, Pa.; they live in Philadelphia.

Andrea Schumann, Matthew Devlin ’07, and Gregory Jones ’08 appeared in the Forensic Files episode “Last Dance.”  Although it was not Schumann’s first time on the television screen, it was a debut for Devlin and Jones. “Last Dance” aired November 14 on TruTV.

Jennifer Jacobi is studying international business in a Temple University graduate program. Last November, while studying in Mumbai, India, she experienced the terrorist attacks first-hand, as her hostel and school were just a few miles from the targets. It was a terrifying situation, but she and her friends remained safe.
