Partnering for Student Success and Development

The Office of Student Development partners with the entire campus community, including families of current students, to ensure a safe environment conducive to the educational mission of the College.

The office receives reports from Campus Police, Resident Assistants (RAs), faculty, staff, students and others. Each report is reviewed to determine appropriate or necessary actions. These may include reaching out to offer support services and/or investigating and adjudicating allegations of College policy violations.

Community Standards
Students are expected to know and adhere to the Community Standards which are outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. The Code also describes the process the College uses to respond to violations of the standards as well as students’ rights in the process.

The Student Conduct Process is designed to be educational and focuses on the student’s development. Case administrators work directly with students and provide them the freedom, in most cases, to communicate about the process with their families at their discretion. Parent or guardian notification is typically made, however, in situations involving alcohol or drugs when a student is under the age of 21 in an effort to partner toward the student’s success.

SHARE (Student Help and Referral)
Moravian College has established the SHARE process to support individual students in their success and to keep the campus community safe. All members of the community, including families of current students, should report concerns through the SHARE process. A reporting form and list of the types of information that should be reported is available at https://www.moravian.edu/share. Emergency situations should always be reported directly to Campus Police at 610-861-1421.
