Learning at Moravian College takes place not only in the
classroom, but in a host of other ways, one of which is through community
service. The Community Service Center seeks to be a bridge between the
community service needs of the greater Lehigh Valley and the campus
community.
Students may choose to be part of any number of mentoring
and tutoring programs. Most notably students may become part of The
Learning Connection program which brings at-risk students to our campus
for monthly programs. Students may also choose to get involved with
the College’s America Reads* literacy program. Other options range
from volunteering in an area historical museum, to working with area
out-reach efforts such as soup kitchens and food banks that give aid
those in need. Some of these positions can be made a part of a student’s
Federal work-study program.
Moravian's Community Service Center is located at 1309
Main Street, just north of Elizabeth Avenue in the Student Affairs Complex.
