Moravian truly believes in educating the whole person.
It is rooted in our philosophy, which derives from the teachings of
the 17th-century Moravian leader John Amos Comenius, known as "the
father of modern education." He believed that education should
do more than just teach information, but also give students the chance
to explore values, build physical well being, and develop a caring and
productive way of life.
We know that a lot of learning takes place outside of
the formal classroom--in the residence halls, in the field house, in
organization meetings. So in all of our student life programs, we want
to foster that learning and assist students in positive ways, in ways
that will help them grow.
