50+ Alumni Weekend 2017

May 5 & 6, 2017

All alumni who have graduated 50 or more years ago are invited for a special weekend which celebrates the Class of 1967's 50th Reunion!

Registration is required by April 26, no refunds will be issued for cancellations after April 26. Online registration coming soon!

Special 275th Anniversary Celebration

Join us on Thursday, May 4th at 4 pm in the Pleasure Gardens (South Campus) for the official celebration of the founding of America's first boarding school for girls by Countess Benigna von Zinzendorf later to be known as our beloved Moravian College. The event will include a special ceremony and light refreshments, no registration needed. 


Friday, May 5

 Founder's Day Reception

  • Join your fellow alumni in Payne Gallery on South Campus for a reception.

Lovefeast 

  • 10:30 a.m.

  • Gather in historic Peter Hall for the traditional Moravian Lovefeast service.

Founder's Day Luncheon

  • 11:30 p.m.
  • Clewell Hall (on the Church Street/South Campus)
  • Celebrate our beloved College’s founding over lunch in Clewell Hall.
  • Cost: Founder's Day Package (includes reception, Lovefeast, and luncheon) is $25 per person. Reception and Lovefeast only is $10 per person. Luncheon only is $20 per person. Complimentary to Women from the MWC, class years 1958 and earlier and one guest. Pre-registration required by April 26

Class of 1967 50th Reunion Champagne Toast with President Grigsby

  • 5:30 p.m.
  • Priscilia Payne Hurd Academic Complex (PPHAC) Atrium
  • Members of the Class of 1967 are invited to join us in the PPHAC Atrium for an exclusive champagne toast with President Bryon Grigsby ’90. A reunion class photo will be taken at this time.
  • Complimentary to the Class of 1967 members and their guest, pre-registration required by April 26

Welcome Back Dinner

  • Haupert Union Building, Pavilion
  • Kick off the weekend with a welcome back dinner on campus. This special evening will commence with a cocktail hour starting at 6:00 p.m. in the HUB Pavilion, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.. Reunion classes will be seated together. 
  • Entree choices:  Chicken Piccata, Grilled Cod with Lemon Beurre Blanc, or Artichoke and Olive Paella (vegetarian).
  • Cost: $40 per adult, Complimentary to the Class of 1967 members; pre-registration required by April 26th.

Jazz Hounds Benefit Concert

  • 8:00 p.m.
  • HUB, Prosser Auditorium
  • Enjoy an evening of jazz and big band music by the Jazz Hounds, our alumni jazz musicians. This special concert will benefit the Al Lazaro Memorial Fund. Al Lazaro was a 2011 graduate of Moravian, who passed away in August of 2014. Al was very involved with music while on campus. Donations toward the Memorial Fund will be collected at the concert.

Alumni Association Annual Meeting

  • You are a member of the Alumni Association! Come and learn about the Alumni Board in their annual meeting. Their work and commitment keep us connected for life, and strengthen the Moravian community that we all love!

 Main Campus Tour

  • 9:00 a.m.
  • Meet at the HUB Desk
  • Meet your tour guide at the HUB Desk, and head out to visit many of the places you spent time as a student and discover the beautiful, new buildings and facilities.

  • Learn from Dean Cynthia Kosso about the new and exciting academic programs that are now available at Moravian!

50+ Induction Brunch and State of the College Address

  • 12:00 p.m.
  • Hotel Bethlehem
  • Wrap up the weekend with a delicious brunch at the gorgeous Hotel Bethlehem. We’ll celebrate the 50th Reunion Class of 1967 by inducting them into the 50+ Club, and learn more about the College today through President Bryon Grigsby’s State of the College Address. The shuttle from Main Campus to the Hotel Bethlehem will begin at 11:30 am and will bring you back to Main Campus starting at 2:00 pm.
  • Cost $40 per adult, Complimentary to the Class of 1967 members; pre-registration required by April 26
