Volunteer Options

Volunteer opportunities range from short-term volunteer commitments to leadership roles. After reading about the volunteer opportunities listed below, complete the volunteer engagement form in order to indicate your interest or to learn more about a particular program.

Admissions - MAAPP:
MAAPP is a partnership between the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement and the Admission Office which allows Moravian Alumni and Parents to assist with the recruitment process of future Greyhounds. This can include attending college fairs, open house, and/or accepted students days, as well as, taking part in notecard and phone call campaigns.

Alumni Association Board of Directors:
The Board of Directors oversees the strategic planning for the Alumni Association and helps to plan the direction of alumni outreach and programming. The group usually meets four times per year, with one of these meetings taking place during Homecoming Weekend. Terms for the Board are three years, renewable for one term.

Blue and Grey Committee:
The Blue and Grey Committee supports the Athletic programs of Moravian through fundraising and other programs.

Career Development:
Act as a mentor, speak on a panel, attend a career networking reception, or provide internships. For additional information call the career development office at 610-861-1509 or visit the Career Center web page.

Class Correspondents:
Collect and write news from classmates for the class notes in the alumni magazine. Submit a column three times a year.

Class Reunion Committees:
Reunion committees help plan five year class reunions, which take place during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend usually in October. Responsibilities include: contacting classmates and planning events not in the Homecoming schedule. Phone conferencing enables long distance alumni to attend the 1-3 committee meetings that are held during the year.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives:
As Moravian continues to diversify its student body, we encourage alumni to help by supporting student events sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Homecoming Volunteers:
Volunteer for 2-4 hours during Homecoming, including Kids Zones, entrance/exit gates, and parking positions.

If you are interested in becoming involved in alumni activities, or if you would like additional information, please complete the volunteer engagement form. Please be aware that certain boards and committees have limited membership with rotating terms.
