            BETHLEHEM, PA --- The top seeded Moravian College baseball team earned a 13-0 victory over fourth seeded Juniata College in the opening game of the 2010 Landmark Conference Tournament at Gillespie Field Friday morning.
            The Greyhounds advance to the winner’s bracket game on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. while the Eagles will play in the tournament’s first elimination game on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
            Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  Junior outfielder Jason Huber led off with an infield single and eventually scored on a bases loaded RBI sacrifice fly by junior designated hitter Jacob Millen.
            The Greyhounds extended their lead to 5-0 with four runs in the second inning.  Sophomore catcher Austin Rock started the inning with a single, and he scored on an RBI double from Huber.  Sophomore shortstop Dave Zubia had an RBI single to score Huber while Millen hit a two-RBI single to score junior third baseman Jon Baltz, who had walked, and Zubia.
            Moravian scored two runs in the third for a 7-0 lead.  Rock again started the inning with a hit, and he scored on a balk.  Junior outfielder Mike Zubia hit a single and scored on an RBI single from Huber.
            The Greyhounds pushed five runs home in the bottom of the fourth to extend the advantage to 12-0.  Sophomore first baseman Kevin O’Keefe drew a walk to lead off the inning before Millen connected on a two-run homer, his third home run of the season.  Junior second baseman Jake Schweitzer also walked, and he scored on an RBI single by Mike ZubiaBaltz would finish off the inning with a two-RBI single that scored Mike Zubia and senior outfielder Brad Bodine, who singled earlier in the inning.
            Moravian finished off the scoring with a run in the bottom of the sixth when Huber scored on an error.
            The Greyhounds had an 18-4 advantage in hits with Huber going five-for-five with three runs scored.  Rock went three-for-five while Millen was two-for-three with five RBIs.  Bodine and Mike Zubia were each two-for-four in the game.  Senior shortstop Andrew Kriss was two-for-four for the Eagles.
            Senior Chris Morrison improved to 7-1 on the year for Moravian, tying the school record for wins in a season, allowing just four hits while striking out eight in his first shutout of the season.  Senior Tyler Clifford took the loss for Juniata, allowing 11 runs on ten hits and five walks in 3 1/3 innings.  Freshman Josh Green tossed the final 4 2/3 innings with eight hits, two runs, one earned, a walk and two strikeouts.
